Tai Chi

Tai Chi has been running in Kennington for 6+ years and is one of the most successful activities facilitated by the KA. People that participate in Tai Chi truly represent the diversity of the area and are aged from 18 to 80.

In the summer, Tai Chi takes place as follows:

Saturdays from 11am - 12 noon in Kennington Park near the Cafe.

and

Thursdays 2pm - 3pm in Kennington Park near the Cafe.

The Kennington Association and Tai Chi participants are committed to ensuring that the classes are free for all. You are not obliged to pay anything and anybody is welcome to attend. However, if you are able to afford it and you would like to donate, £3 per class would ensure that Tai Chi is able to continue on a secure footing into the future.

The inclusive nature of the Tai chi classes enables the Kennington Association to foster a sense of community locally. It's great fun and a form of gentle exercise!

Tai Chi attract participants who have recently moved to live in the Kennington area and joining the Tai Chi class can be an ideal way to make contact with established residents and learn more about the area.

In the winter, Tai Chi takes place at the Vauxhall Gardens Community Centre and Surrey Cricket Club and we are grateful for the kind provision of their venues.
